I have been updating and updating with this blog and my website and just can't quite get things the way that I want them so....I am in the process of building a new blogsite hopefully to be finished by the end of the month to replace both my website and current blog.  It will be awesome!!

Summertime Fun

This was a fun little boudoir shoot that I did this weekend with the help of my husband and friend and assistant Nicole!  Thank you so much for both of your help!  This was so much fun!  This is a new service that I will be offering and am super excited about so give me a call if your interested in booking your own boudoir shoot!

Life can be changed in an instant

We had the closest call of our lives Tuesday afternoon.  While out watching my 3 boys play in the front yard my phone rang with a call from a customer and I stepped away for 1 minute.  In the time it took me to walk into the door my 4 year old son Bryson ran into the street and was struck by a truck!  My other boys came in screaming that Bryson had been hit by a car but was alive!  The next few minutes seemed more like a nightmare than a reality.  It is still hard to believe that this really happened.  We must have had an angel watching over us that day because though I rushed him to the hospital and we stayed overnight he suffered nothing but scrapes, bruises, and a concussion.  He was checked from head to toe inside and out.  He was one lucky boy and I am one lucky and grateful mom!!  Too often we have the mindset that it couldn't ever happen to me until one day it does.  That instant has changed my life.  I will never again take a second for granted with my children and now know that the worst things can happen if you take your eyes off of them for even a second.  Thank you all for your prayers!  Bryson is happy to be home, doing great, and recovering quickly!  He's still hobbling a little but it doesn't slow him down much. :)  I would also like to say what a wonderful Hospital Cook Children's is.  The entire staff from the Trauma Team, the IV team who made sure that Bryson who was terrified of shots didn't feel a thing from the blood work or IV, the doctors, nurses and even the music rehabilitation lady were absolutely wonderful!  I have never met such wonderful and caring people in my life!

When it rains it pours!

I know I am a little behind on here but it has been one heck of a month!  You know the saying when it rains it pours well that has been my life lately.  If anything could possibly go wrong it has!  My husbands engine blew up in his 3 year old truck and my lease was running out so we both have brand new cars now.  A good thing except for the hefty new car payments to go along with them. :(  My laptop also decided it didn't want to charge up any more so I have been without access to my work for the past 2 weeks.  So the website is behind, orders are behind but should be on the move as of tomorrow!  Sorry about the delay but I should be back up in working order tomorrow.  That's just the tip of the iceberg but the rest will be worked out soon enough as well.
From this point there is only one way to go and that is up!  So I'm keeping my head up and a smile on my face!

I hope things have been going a little more smoothly for everyone else, but if not just keep in mind that things can only get better! :)

Congratulations Kristoph and Michele!!!

Baby Leigha Marie born Tuesday evening, weighing 7lbs 6oz and is 20 1/2 inches long.  She is absolutely beautiful!!  I was lucky to get to see her lastnight.  Unfortunately I was not able to get a picture yet.  Mom is still recouperating and wasn't feeling well.  Please keep the family in your prayers that Michele makes a quick recovery and they get to go home soon!

Kristoph and Micheles Maternity Session

This is Michele and Kristoph! It was such a pleasure working with this couple! To see such adoration between them was so very sweet! And for thier patience I can't say enough! This was a Very LONG session. We had so many ideas and I think we tried them ALL! Here are just a few previews but hopefully there will be more to show later. :)

The "After" Kambrees Newborn Session

So you have seen the before portraits of Katie with this precious one inside her round little belly....and now after 9 long months of waitin is the After!! Miss Kambree Faith.
What a fun session! I absolutely adore newborns!! This precious little angel was just so sweet and STRONG for only being 4 days old! Everytime I would tuck her little legs under she would stick one straight back out in protest! She definitely already has a mind of her own and has a tired Mommy and Daddy both wrapped around her tiny little fingers. :) But how could she not? Who could possibly resist? Mom and Dad are coming by this afternoon to join in the fun so check back there is more to come!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day from my boys!! These are the bookmarks I made to pass out as thier school valentines. Unfortunately for me school was canceled because we got a FOOT of snow!! We do live in Texas right?? Just making sure. Crossing my fingers that they have a party this Friday instead. I would hate for these to go to waste! I think they are just too cute.....but afterall they are MY boys...so of course they are cute! :)

Adding a new session specialty to Selina Davis Photography...Maternity

I was told today that I really needed to update my blog and I agree!! I can get so carried away with shooting and editing images that the blog and website tend to get put on the back-burner but, I do have some exciting news!!!

I have added Maternity sessions to my list of specialties!! Here is a preview of my first session with beautiful Mrs. Katie. I also just shot her babys newborn portraits yesterday!! So here is the before and the after shots are soon to come!!
